Art Statement

My artistic research focuses on exploring new methods of representation, with particular attention to the subversion of perceived reality. I am currently developing a project centered on still life, in which I overturn the traditional roles between object and shadow. In this work, the object loses its physicality, stretching and deforming across a surface to assume a new visual identity, while the shadow materializes, gaining substance and replacing the real object. This exchange of functions generates an original and disorienting representation, inviting the viewer to reconsider the boundaries between reality, illusion, and perception. I use simple, essential compositions to focus attention on this reversal and to make the dialogue between form, absence, and presence even more evident.
